The Ratio of Tensile stress to tensile strain or the ratio of compressive stress to compressive strain

Modulus of Rigidity or Shear Modulus
The ratio of shear stress to the corresponding shear strain with in the elastic limit,is known as modulus of rigidity or shear modulus.This is denoted by C or G or N.
